Last week we ran our second referee focused workshop. Supporting referees benefits every player, club, association in the country. When referees feel supported, they stay. Workshop aimed at ensuring a foundational understanding of mental health and equip referees with practical tools to manage their wellbeing amidst the pressures of officiating games during a long season.

Pigeon Football becomes the official ball supplier of the FSG McDonald's Premier League competitions and preferred ball supplier for all grassroots competitions in 2023 as well as the key provider of Mental Health First Aid certification and mental health workshops for FSG and its affiliated clubs.

Recently the team at Pigeon Football found ourselves in a position to deliver our ethos to a group of like-minded individuals at a boxing gym in Bella Vista. We were invited by owners Ally & Steve Mowbray to conduct a Mental Health Workshop as they saw the similarities in what support they felt their valued members needed during “these COVID times”, to what the Pigeon Football goal and vision of raising mental health awareness and well-being education was aimed towards.

We kicked off Pigeon Footballs mental health journey with a #letstalk session for a small group in July. Run by Steven Gamble, the founder of our expert partner Man Anchor the workshop was a great way to kickstart Pigeon Footballs commitment to improving mental health awareness and knowledge in local football communities.
